How to Screen Record with Microphone Audio on Windows

Tap through each step in order.

  1. Open the Xbox Game Bar

    Press Windows key + G to launch the Game Bar.

  2. Find the Capture widget

    Look for the Capture widget, marked with a camera icon, on the Game Bar overlay.

  3. Turn on the microphone

    Click the microphone icon on the Capture widget to enable it β€” your voice will then be recorded together with the screen.

  4. Start recording

    Click the record (circle) button, or press Windows key + Alt + R, to start the recording.

  5. Find the saved file

    When you finish recording, the video is saved automatically to the 'Videos β†’ Captures' folder by default.
