Why compare unit prices?
When shopping at a store or online, the same type of product often comes in different sizes or quantities, so the total price alone doesn't tell you which one is the better deal. Dividing price by size ("price Γ· size") gives you the unit price β for example, the price per 100g or the price per item β which is a much more accurate way to compare.
Formula
Unit price = Price Γ· Size (quantity)
Enter both products using the same unit (g, ml, item, etc.) for an accurate comparison. If the units differ, convert them to the same unit first.
