How to Set Up Automatic Photo Backup

iPhone – cloud photo sync

In Settings, go to your name β†’ iCloud β†’ Photos and turn on syncing for this device, so every photo you take is automatically backed up to the cloud.

Android – cloud photo backup app

In your photo-backup app's settings, turn on Backup so new photos and videos you take are automatically uploaded to your account.

Check the backup quality setting

You can usually choose between backing up at original quality or a storage-saver quality in the app's settings, depending on how much cloud storage you have.

Set backups to Wi-Fi only

If you are worried about mobile data usage, turning on a "back up over Wi-Fi only" option lets backups happen safely without touching your cellular data.
