How to Reorder Your Favorites List on a Map App

Tap through each step in order.

  1. Open your favorites list

    Go to the 'Saved' or 'Favorites' menu in your map app.

  2. Enter edit mode

    At the top of the list, or in the more-options menu, select 'Edit' or 'Reorder.'

  3. Drag to reorder

    Press the handle icon next to an entry and drag it to the position you want.

  4. Tap done to save

    Once you have arranged everything the way you want, tap 'Done' to save the new order.

  5. Why it is useful

    Moving the places you visit most often to the top means you do not have to scroll through the whole list every time you want to pick one.

Stop Scrolling Past the Same Places Every Time

If your favorites list only shows entries in the order you saved them, you end up scrolling past the same places over and over just to find the one you visit most. Moving it to the top fixes that permanently.

Reordering Does Not Touch the Underlying Location Data

Rearranging your list only changes how entries are displayed -- it has no effect on the actual saved location data behind each entry, so there is no risk of losing anything by reordering.
