How to Manage Multiple Alarms on Your Phone

Tap a step to see how it works.

  1. Open the clock app

Opening the 'Alarm' tab in your phone's default clock app shows every alarm you've set in one list.

  2. Toggle individual alarms on and off

Flipping the switch next to an alarm turns it off temporarily without deleting it.

  3. Delete several at once in edit mode

Tapping 'Edit' lets you select multiple alarms at the same time and delete them all in one go.

  4. Label your alarms

Naming each alarm something like 'wake up' or 'take medicine' makes it much easier to keep track of several at once.

  5. Set which days it repeats

If you only want an alarm on weekdays, the repeat setting lets you choose exactly which days it should go off.

Too many alarms piling up? Time for a clean-up

Once you've set several alarms, it's easy to lose track of which ones you still need. Labeling each one and clearing them out periodically keeps the list far easier to manage.

A shorter snooze can help mornings go smoother

Most clock apps also let you adjust how long the snooze interval lasts, separately from the alarm time itself. Shortening it from the default can help you avoid the trap of repeatedly hitting snooze and running well past when you meant to get up.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I toggle an alarm off and back on, does the time reset?

No -- toggling the switch off and on only changes whether it will ring, and keeps the time you originally set.

Can I make an alarm ring only on certain days?

Yes -- selecting the specific days in the repeat setting means the alarm only goes off on the days you've chosen.
