How to Rename a Group Chat on WhatsApp

  1. Open the group chat you want to rename

    Go into the group whose name you want to change.

  2. Open group info

    Tap the current group name or photo at the top of the chat.

  3. Tap the group subject/name field

Only certain members can usually rename a group
