How to Organize Contacts into Folders in Telegram

  1. Open Settings and go to "Chat Folders"

    From the main chat list, open Settings and tap "Chat Folders."

  2. Tap "Create New Folder"

    Tap the option to create a new folder and give it a name like "Family," "Work," or "Club."

  3. Add the chats you want into the folder

    Select the specific contacts or group chats you want included, and add them to the folder you just created.

  4. Switch between folders from the top tab bar

    Your folders appear as tabs above the chat list, so you can jump straight to just the chats in "Work" or "Family" without scrolling through everything.

  5. Why it matters

    When your contact list has grown large, sorting it into folders makes it much faster to find and manage the specific people you are looking for.
