How to Add an Image (Logo) to Your Gmail Signature

Tap a step to see it in order.

  1. Open Gmail settings

Click the gear icon in the top right, then choose "See all settings."

  2. Find the "Signature" section

On the General tab, scroll down to find the Signature area.

  3. Click the insert image icon

In the toolbar above the signature editing box, click the image icon.

  4. Upload your logo and resize it

Upload a logo image saved on your computer, then resize it as needed.

A more professional look for work email

A signature that includes a company logo or personal brand image tends to look noticeably more polished and trustworthy than one made of plain text alone.

Remember the mobile app has its own separate signature

Gmail treats the desktop signature and the mobile app signature as two independent settings. A logo you carefully add and resize on desktop won't automatically appear on emails sent from the Gmail mobile app -- you'll need to set that up separately in the app's own signature settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a problem if the image file is too large?

Yes -- a large image can slow down sending and may render broken or oddly cropped on the recipient's end, so it's best to use an appropriately compressed image.

Can I make the image clickable as a link?

Yes -- click the inserted image and use the link icon to set a URL, so clicking the logo takes people to your website.
