  2. Open the "Page Layout" tab

Click the "Page Layout" tab on the ribbon.

  3. Click "Print Area" then "Set Print Area"

In the "Print Area" menu, click "Set Print Area."

  4. Check with print preview

Press Ctrl+P and confirm in the preview that only the range you set will be printed.

  5. Clear the print area

Choosing "Print Area β†’ Clear Print Area" makes the entire sheet printable again.

When you only want to print part of a sheet

Printing an entire table often produces extra pages full of content you did not need. Setting a print area in advance lets you print exactly the part you want, cleanly.

Freezing panes is worth knowing too

If your printed range spans many rows or columns, keeping headers visible on screen while you set things up is easier once you know how freezing panes works alongside print settings.
