What is a D-day countdown?
A D-day countdown expresses the number of days remaining until a target date. Before the target date it's shown as "D-N" (N days to go), on the day itself as "D-Day," and after the date has passed as "D+N" (N days since). You can calculate a countdown for any date β a birthday, wedding anniversary, exam date, departure date, or project deadline.
How to use it
Enter a starting date (usually today) and a target date, and you'll instantly see the number of days between them along with the target date's day of the week. The starting date is set to today by default.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I calculate it for a date that has already passed?
Yes β if the target date is earlier than the starting date, it will be shown in "D+N" format (N days since), so you can also see how many days have passed since a date already gone by.
Does this handle lunar calendar dates too?
