How to Screen Record on Android

Tap a step to follow along in order.

  1. Open Quick Settings

    Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to fully expand the Quick Settings panel.

  2. Find the screen recorder tile

    Look for a "Screen Record" tile in the panel and tap it. If you don't see it, tap the edit (pencil) icon to add it to your Quick Settings.

  3. Choose an audio option

    Before you start, pick between "System audio only," "Microphone only," or "System audio and microphone."

  4. Start recording

    Tap "Start" and recording begins after a short countdown.

  5. Stop and find the file

    Tap the stop button in the notification panel to end the recording, then find the saved video in your Gallery app or file manager.

No extra app needed on Android either
